Tartine Bakery had the best pain au chocolat I’ve had on this coast. As a Frenchie, I feel it’s my duty to try every U.S bakery’s recipe and judge them harshly when the inside is too bready and the chocolate is improperly melted. No need to do that at Tartine: it was flawless.
